This website has been our effort to provide a full picture of what happens at Pyrysys Psychology Group, Inc. If there are questions we have not answered, please contact us.
If you have reviewed this site and want to consider attending Practical Recovery, the next step is to call us. We prefer a phone call (rather than email), although we will respond to specific questions by email. Sandra Jacobs, our Intake Coordinator, is available Monday through Friday at extension 515 to answer your questions. If she is momentarily away from the phone please leave a voice mail and she will return your call. If you wish, she will also arrange a time for you to speak with one of the clinical staff who will answer any other questions and screen you (or your loved one) for suitability for our program. These screening discussions aim to reach a mutual decision about whether our program is a good fit for you. If it is, we will then plan the next steps to take. In some cases clients from out of town plan their visits weeks or months in advance, and may have phone sessions in preparation for their stay. Others arrive here within hours or days. Local clients are usually offered an appointment for within a few days. If our program is not a good fit for you (we are not for everyone!) we will endeavor to make suitable referrals for other services.

Our Location
We are just west of I-5, near UCSD and the Veteran’s Administration (VA) Medical Center, on the corner of La Jolla Village Drive and Villa La Jolla Drive, behind the Rock Bottom and El Torito restaurants, in the La Jolla Village Professional Center, 8950 Villa La Jolla Drive. We are in building “B,” not far from the fountain and the Red Apple Deli. Our suite is B214.

Directions
From I-5 North
* Exit at La Jolla Village Drive.
* Left (west) at the stop light at the end of the exit ramp.
* This is La Jolla Village Drive.
* Stay in the left lane.
* Villa La Jolla Drive is in two stoplights. It’s a busy, major intersection.
* Get in the outside (right side) left turn lane as you approach the intersection.
* Left turn onto Villa La Jolla Drive.
* Right (immediately) into our driveway (between Rock Bottom and El Torito).
* Head straight, under the building, to visitor parking.
* We are in Building B (dark green building), to the right as you drive in.
* Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.
* Follow the signs to our office, B214.
* We overlook the fountain and the Red Apple Deli. The sign next to our door reads, “B214, Pyrysys.”
From I-5 South
